Life is about Creating Yourself

Identity is the fact of being who or what a person is. Self-Identity is the perception or recognition  ofone's characteristics as a particular individual. Self Identity is composed of relatively permanent self-assessments, such as personality attributes, knowledge of one’s skills and abilities, one’s occupation and hobbies, and awareness of one’s physical attributes.
From the discussions we have had about Identity and well being it is very clear that most of us do not really know who we are, what we really want and why we are in the relationships we are in be it with friends, spouses and even in the families that we belong to. Very few people take time to do personality tests but keep questioning themselves on a lot of issues that affect them.
Who you are is your Self Identity, the way you look at yourself and your relationship to the world. Understanding this, allows you to examine who you are and more importantly create who you want to be.The Self Identity is not restricte…

Love Is Not A Formula

Condemnation Vs Compassion Embracing #MyParticulars

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
This is a scripture that gives me great comfort even when I feel that I am so far away from God.
But yet again, I find myself tempted to think that I am at least better than others and that my sin has a lesser magnitude. But I am reminded that there is no measure for sin and that
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.(1 John 1)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (Romans 3)
Yesterday we had a conversation a…

Healthy Vs Unhealthy Relationships Forum (#MyParticulars)

This is the month of love and as you celebrate love, it is our desire that you begin with yourself. This valentines, try to shake things up and look at yourself and how you appreciate who you are. Take the challenge, evaluate how much you value yourself and determine your price tag.
Relationships are great if started on the right track. But, do you realize your self awareness, self esteem, self worth and self acceptance greatly affects your relationships? Better still, your personality also contributes to the person you are attracted to and the one you attract.
Before giving away your heart and taking that of another, you need to begin with understanding SELF.

The event will take place on 16th February 2018 starting 4:30pm till 7:00pm. The venue is YMCA Central along State House Road next St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Life Doesn't Wait For Wedding Vows

I'm 31 years old, and I'd love to get married. I write that without embarrassment because  marriage is good and a worthy desire. I have spent a good fortune of my formative years preparing for marriage, dedicating to it and honoring it.
As good and exciting as any relationship we get into can be, preparing for marriage was and became a small idol for me. My soul was restless and I secretly thought that if I became a better Christ-follower, a better communicator, a better cook or dresser, God would indeed bless me with a husband. When a short lived relationship with the perfect christian guy ended some years back, my whole world almost come to an end and i felt betrayed.
