Relationship……... A word with all kinds of meanings depends on how you as a person understand it. A simple word, complicated in its way.

We are all in different types of relationships with people and things around us. Our interaction with others depends on the kind of relationship we have with them. What is the value of your relationships? Are they worth you investing in them?

A relationship in itself is a dimension of oneself that is always changing. Most of our relationships are probably family, Friends, schoolmates, and workmates, or business associates

Relationships can bring joy and sometimes they can present immense challenges. A relationship just like friendship is a plant of slow growth and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.

The secret to successful relationships
•    Try and understand others,
•    Recognize that others do not always think or act like you. They do not have the same priorities as you.
•    Treat others the same way you would like to be treated if it were you that is what they say.
•    My opinion is, to treat others the way they should be treated.

You could be someone who likes having strained relationships with others, forgetting that some of us love to have peace and tranquility. They thrive when they see others frustrated because of them.

Dynamics of Relationships
It is also important to recognize that relationships do change. You may have friends today who have been your friends for many years, and others are relatively new in your life.

As a child, the people you have a close relationship with are your parents, siblings, and relatives. As we grow up, we expand our territories.  We meet acquaintances all the time, and this means that we make friends daily.

Working out a Relationship
It is up to you to decide if you do or do not want your relationships to work. The value and importance of a relationship depend on us. If you value a relationship: then it is best to have an honest and open relationship.

Be open enough to tell someone the truth about what you think and feel is best. When they are doing the wrong thing, then be bold enough to tell them, when they are doing something fantastic jump with joy to the rooftops with them.

You will be respected and treasured for being honest and open even though this is sometimes very hard to do.

Relationships can’t grow if envy, jealousies, lies, and presence exist. It is paramount always to try to acknowledge any successes they have, congratulate and celebrate their success with them as they do the same.

Let your relationships be of benefit to everyone that is involved. Encourage, Motivate and Inspire.

No matter the kind and number of relationships one has, one thing is for sure: your relationship your relationships will change as your life changes. Make sure you learn something.
