7 Great Tips On How To Enjoy First Date

Courtesy:233times.com
Dating and Courtship are one of the biggest privileges we people of this century have. During our parent's days marriage was planned and getting to 'know each other' was experienced inside the marriage. Nevertheless, these planned marriages lasted until death did their part.

I thank God and the evolving world for the opportunity to make our own choices when choosing a spouse. Dating is supposed to be fun and enjoyable.

Phones and Relationships

Courtesy:Hotstuff.tech
Salon gossip is always true (if not most of the time it's real life) A few days back  I was at the salon and this beautiful lady walks in all jovial and excited, sits, and starts chit-chatting with my hairdresser. In the process, my hairdresser asks how her home is. We were doing fine until his phone forced us to call in the pastor to come and reconcile the two of us.

"Mary how many times have I warned you that if you wanted to have peace in your marriage do not touch your husband's phone. What you do not know won't kill you!" exclaimed my hairdresser.

Money and Relationships: My Two Cents

During our event on Healthy Vs Unhealthy Relationship forum (#MoneyandRelationships) on 8th September 2016, I had a question as an ice breaker.

So I asked the audience, "Is money something to consider when getting into a relationship?"

The responses were just intriguing making me realize how uncomfortable people get when it comes to discussing finances.

The ‘Presidential Wait’ in Relationships

On 8th August 2017, Kenya went to the polls to elect their leaders.  There was so much anticipation and speculation around the presidential result that it felt like the whole country was at a standstill. I cannot count how many times I heard people saying,
‘We are waiting for the Presidential results so that we know what's next.’
Finally, the results were announced but the results were contested in court

Dear daughter

So one day dad sat us down as a family during one of those weekends that we all gather at home to have a feel of a whole family (which is not as often as it was before since my two older siblings started working).

We were all anticipating to hear what he had to say given that one of my siblings had talked to him about marriage(we had always anticipated to hear dad talk about this topic).

This should be noted before I continue, my dad was not the 'come we reason together' kind of a man. He was usually the 'do something wrong and you'll have it from me' kind of a parent. As the years are moving by, he is turning into this wise guard in our lives and keeps encouraging us to go to him whenever we have an issue.

7 Attributes of a woman

"A woman was not created as God's after thoughts," Apostle Judith addressed the congregation during one of the many women's conferences that I have attended. This one gave that feeling of, how comes I've never thought of it that way. It also gave me a very new way of viewing a woman.

There are a number of different sides of a woman that I think can make us

Ways to Co-Parent With Your Ex

Courtesy: royals.co.uk
Some relationships are meant to last while others must come to an end leaving one with memories, lesson,s and at times consequences. some of these relationships end but already there is a child involved and that means no matter how bitter or angry we are that child should never pay for your mistakes (if ever that relationship was a mistake ).

You may want nothing to do with each other but the child is very much in-love with and needs the both of you so that means you have to see each other often and pretend to like each other.

Plant What You Want To Reap (Love Chronicles)

‘The only thing I want from my husband is his love. I don’t care about his money or even the fridge that is full of food in the house,’ wept a woman to her friends. I was seated with them on the same table at a restaurant.

“Ken doesn’t care or even have time for me; he never notices me or even consults me in anything. Like the other day he just walked in with a brand new green carpet. Who buys a green carpet in a house that the walls are painted blue and the sofas are red which he also bought

Relationships take work to flourish. The excitement is highest at the beginning and often wilts out. Preserving the spark after the honeymoon period may require deliberate effort.

Here are three things to avoid, to save your relationship from an early death:

1)    Poor Communication
Communication not only covers what you feel or what you need but also, your relationship expectations.

When you get into a relationship, express your intentions and expectations to avoid disappointment if not met.

What is the Meaning of Dating and Why Do People Date?

A few weeks ago I read an article with the title: 'Dating is not a Marriage Proposal'.

The article was quite rational defending young men who have been 'forced' into marriage just because they were dating a certain lady.

The writer had put down all the right facts on, why ladies should not take dating as a promise of marriage. How could I argue with facts?

Like a rational human-being, I decided

Thou Shall Respect Thy Body

“Everyone does it even the priests, Imams and bishops.” This was my boyfriend of 3 months justifying his real intentions of wanting to have sex with me. We both were born again Christians so I thought. I had gone to visit and spend sometime with my boyfriend after being apart for almost a month.

On this particular Wednesday he was very rough. His hands were trying to be all over me. To me this kind of behavior was a bit strange coming from him since he had suggested that we remain pure in this relationship until marriage.
